I'd really like to see this site go public, so I want to start soliciting ideas about the site logo. Fire away!

Sites going to public beta stage doesn't get logo yet, so it's too early to ask I guess. E.g. Health SE is running almost for 5 months and they don't have even they own [icon](http://meta.health.stackexchange.com/questions/130/voting-for-a-new-icon). So I think we should focus our effort to make this site get into public beta instead.

@kenorb I definitely agree it's too early, but I also think it's useful to have a high level of activity on the main site and meta (even if that activity doesn't lead to anything concrete yet).

Sites that are in beta have the good ol logo, that looks very, very cool:

Open Science Logo

Looks neat, right? If you're worried about changing it, you really shouldn't. You're in private beta, where you've got the same beta structures, with a gazillion other sites (yes, each word is a different site).

You'll get a logo and complete site design when the site is about to graduate. That will take a while, but you better put your feet back and relax about this :)

Ask Open Science used to be called Open Science Q&A but we changed the name when we registered the domain ask-open-science.org. Everything else stays the same: We are still hosted by Bielefeld University.
