In addition to the well-known DOI, what other persistent identifiers (PIDs) for publications/documents are in use?

Possible answers to this depend quite a bit on how you define publications, and how specific you want the identifiers to be in terms of fitting the respective definition. Wikidata has several perspectives on that - currently, there are

None of these are exhaustive, and consistency (e.g. in terms of including DOIs or not) can probably also be improved further.

Ask Open Science used to be called Open Science Q&A but we changed the name when we registered the domain ask-open-science.org. Everything else stays the same: We are still hosted by Bielefeld University.
